Mary Emily Patterson Pitts, a daughter of Lucy Rose Keown Patterson, was living in Hall County with her son Joel Reese Pitts in 1880. Samuel Alexander Patterson, a son of Lucy Rose Keown Patterson, was also living in the county with his wife Mary Jane Stancel Hall and their first four children. James Orange Barse Haley and his brother Pinckney Pierce Haley were working on a farm in Hall County, and their mother Olivia Artimissa Keown Haley Stancel was living nearby.
