Addendum to the recent discussion about who had jurisdiction over the land currently in Hall County prior to the creation of the county. The Franklin County USGENWEB page http://www.rootsweb.com/~gafrankl/ has an outline map of original Franklin County (1784) overlaid on a map of current counties (except that SC is shown as one block, no individual counties).
