My 3G grandfather was James T. Simpson. His wife was Lei Pirkle. They came to Hall county from Anderson district, SC. I don't know if this is too far back to make a connection. I don't have any additional information about Lei Pirkle other than that from her cemetary record at Hopewell Baptist Church. This is in the Cemetaries of Hall County by Sybil McCray.
