    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Armor, Armour, Ammer Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4c.2ADE/2118 Message Board Post: I am not an Armour family researcher, but a recent query about this family reminded me that I have a question that I'd like to ask of someone who is familiar with that family. It deals with some Armour family members who were in the Civil War and may have served with the 43rd GA Inf. from Hall Co. I have a copy of a letter written by one of my Boyd relatives in May 1863 which mentions the death of an Armour or "Armor" family member named "James Armor" just before one of the battles at Vicksburg, MS. My relative wrote that James Armor was killed by a falling tree limb while he was asleep. From what I remember, there were some Armour family members in company K, 43rd GA INF from Hall Co. I'd appreciate any info on that person. My e-mail is: dale30809@aol.com
