This is my first posting to the list and I am England based researching my own family. There are a large number of family members in Georgia and have traced most of those who live/lived in Oglethorpe and adjacent counties. However I know that some of the family moved to Hall and wonder if there is anybody on the list that is researching the name or can assist. Roy Day

In fact in the 1930 census, she is listed as the Adopted daughter of Thomas E McNairn and his wife Etta. I would like to know more about Etta. She did marry Orman Ellsworth Holley and had five children that I know of. Four of them were born in Grayson County, Texas the other one was born in Willacy County, Texas. Her adopted father Thomas E. McNairn had two other children from his first marriage to Sallie Horton. Their names are Alfred Horton McNairn and Ralph E. McNairn. Robert lived in Mississippi and Alfred Horton McNairn lived in Grayson County, Texas. I would love to exchange information with you.

William L. White, born 26 Mar. 1894 GA., died 2 Jun. 1946 bur. Alta Vista is a brother of my grandmother. He married 17 Jun 1915 to Mary Lou Fowler They had 4 children I know of: Robert, Louise, Willie Mae & Ruby Willie Mae (White) Overby (1927 - 1986) is the only one I know anything about. I do know Will's brother Geiger White married Mary Lou's sister. I can't seem to find uncle Will in the census either, Can anyone help with a location for this 'White' family? Thanks for any help! I know nothing about Elizabeth; who her parents were or where they were from. I know they were close to the Sardis community/Bark Camp district. My mother is still living, she is almost 98 years old. Her memory is not very good now. But she has told me a lot in the past. Some of the Conner family is buried at Sardis Baptist Church. I'm sure some are buried close by maybe at the Antioch Methodist Church. Not too sure of that. Hope you can tell me more of the Swafford's. I am a member of the DAR on my father's side of the family would like to get supplements on my mother's side.
