He was a tin peddler in Alabama. But I was told he was born in Hall County Ga. I am at a brick wall. I can't find anything on his parents. I have been told that Austin Hyde is his father and I have also been told that William H. Hyde was his father so I don't know where to look. Please if anyone out there knows anything about this family please respond. William Christopher Hyde married twice and had 10 children by each wife. Does anyone know for sure who his siblings were so maybe I can find something on him? Or if this family came from another state or town or something. Or if anyone would be willing to help me do some lookups in Hall County or somewhere else. Please let me know. Leah Hyde Latimer P. S. I have been told that Austin married a Mary Gross, I don't know if this is right or not. They may have spelled their name Hide instead of Hyde, I don't know.

Checked the 1850 census and found a W. Hide in Hall County born in 1829. His father is David Hide. Don't know if this could be your family or not. Hope this helps. Whelchel's District was GMD 570. The interesting thing is that Polkville Dist. is indexed as Whelchels Dist. on the 1880 census on Ancestry.com. If a person was in an institution, or prison, they still should have been enumerated on the census. Is there someone in particular that you are looking for?

This is what I have: John Floyd Williams (1828-1863) married Keturah Margaret Coleman (1830-?) 19 Dec 1850. His father was James M Williams (1801-1883 ) married to Barbary (1803-?). Some have said that her Surname was Toney. However, the only marriage record I found was for a James Williams and Barbary Myers 19 Nov 1829 Hall County, GA. This information seems to match what others have listed on the internet. Now I am looking for the source documents that support that Barbary Myers married to James Williams was the daughter of Abraham and Sarah Myers. I have information on the family from John F Williams to current but nothing before John or nothing on his wife. We have a picture of John F Williams that we had restored. If this is part of your family, I will send you a copy. Do not have a record of Augustus AC Williams but Emmitt Reynolds Williams (Son of John F Williams) did go to Mississippi from Georgia. Often wondered if there was already family there before he moved. Children of John F. Williams Emmitt Reynolds Williams Alonzo Allen Williams John Morgan Williams Children of James M Williams and Barbary (Myers or Toney?) Amanda Lenora Williams (have met relatives in this line and have information to share) married Luke Turner Watkins John Floyd Williams (my line) Sarah Adeline Williams married Samuel Singleton Nicholson Zemila Anne Williams married ? I have found this information: 1830 Census: Samuel PRESLEY, Jane PRESLEY 1840 Census: Peter PRESLEY, William PRESLEY Marriage Records: Andrew PRESLEY m. Anny STRICKLAND 13 Jan 1830, Hall Co, GA Rachel PRESSLEY m. Samuel BROWN 30 Sep 1832, Hall Co, GA Rachel is likely a daughter of William PRESLEY, who is listed in the 1840 census. Samuel BROWN is listed directly above William PRESLEY in the 1840 census. I’m speculating that these PRESLEYs are related to my family. Levi P. PRESSLEY was born 1832, GA. I do not know the name of his parents. This is his family: Levi P. PRESSLEY b.1832, GA m.26 Jun 1859, Rankin Co, MS Margaret Emily RENFROW. They had: Peter Andrew PRESSLEY b. Aug 1860, MS Samuel Levi PRESSLEY b.12 Apr 1862, MS Mary Jane PRESSLEY b.25 Mar 1864, MS These PRESSLEYs moved to Texas after the 1880 census. NOTE the names Peter, Andrew, Samuel. These are all in the Hall Co, GA PRESLEY family. In addition the 1840 census shows a child of Peter PRESLEY to be the correct age for Levi P. PRESSLEY. Appreciate any additional information.
