I'm really trying to find the parents of Y.J. Rylee, born in Hall Co., GA. A long time ago, one of my aunts did some genealogy work and said our family was descended from James Rylee, but I don't have any proof, or any other information on his parents.

If you have any Reed info, I'd love to share. Thanks!

    2. My Great Grandmother was Martha Jeraline SARGENT. She was born abt 1864 in unknown CO, GA, and d. abt 1894 in Flowery Branch, Hall Co. GA. She married Robert CARLISLE on 7 Sep 1873 in Hall Co., GA. They are listed on the 1880 Hall Co., Census. One of their children (my Grandmother Lizzie Carlisle) married Robert Gunn from Habersham County. Since we do not know what County she was born in I wonder if your SARGENT could be a brother? Hall Co. and Habersham Co. are right there together. CHILL [email protected]

From what we can gather he might have immigrated from Germany and we think made his way to the southern states, e.g. Arkansas, Texas. We think he might have been born in 1860 -1866. We have not been able to find a document where he has signed his full name. We know he had an occupation that would be noticeable and we know of two wives and according to sources there were 4 others. My Grandmother Nora was a Hopgood of Mississippi, and they had one daughter Emma B. . If you or anyone can lead us in a helpful direction we would appreciate it. We are at a dead end. This little guy just keeps disappearing on us.

    3. Hello Folks, I am seeking help finding any record of an Edward WADE in Hall Co GA or Gwinnett Co GA in 1825. I have a deed witnessed by an Edward WADE on October 1, 1825 in Hall Co GA. I can find no other record of an Edward WADE in Hall Co GA in the 1820s. This could be the Edward WADE on the 1820 Gwinnett Co GA census who later appears on the 1830 DeKalb Co GA census. Any help finding any record at all of an Edward WADE in the 1820s would be most appreciated. Thank you. Eldon mailto:[email protected] Researching: WADE and HAMES - SC, GA, AL

    1. [GAHALL] William A. Phillips
    2. Hello everyone. I have been looking for my grandfather for several years. My cousin found a William Phillips in the 1910 Hall County Census. We think this may be the right one and this is his family from first marriage. It says he is a widower and has 4 children Collie or Callie age 14, Herschel age 12, Marvin age 9 and Maggie or Margie age 7 It says William is 38 years old and this fits with the date on my mothers birth certificate. He was born in Jackson County 1872 also according to her Birth Cert. Does any one know anything about this family? My cousin could not find them in the 1900 census and we have looked in surrounding states in the 1920 census when he was married to my grandmother Donnie McDonald. We think they probably married abt 1916 the year of my mothers birth, but we cannot find a marriage record or census with one or both of them. William Phillips died in 1926. Any help greatly appreciated. What really gets me is the fact that I practically lived with my grandmother and didn't ask questions. Now I am a grandmother and find a thing. Thanks for any help. Fran Murphy Blount County, TN
