A delegation from the Georgia Woman's Suffrage association will leave for Gainesville this afternoon, and a local Equal Suffrage league will be organized after the rally. Both sides of the suffrage question will be presented, and two prominent Gainesville attorneys, Hammond Johnsona nd Ed A. Dunlap, will oppose the enfranchisement of women, while equal suffrage will be championed by Dr. M. C. Hardin, the well known osteopath, and Leonard J. Grossman, legal advisor of the Georgia Woman's Suffrage Association. Sunday's rain may prevent the automobile trip of the suffragists, becasue of the condition of the roads, but Mrs. Mary L. McLendon, president of the Georgia Woman's Suffrage association, will make every effort to join the local delegation, which will include Mrs. A. B. Crossman and Mrs. M. C. Hardin. Following the debate Miss Ella May Powell will deliver an address on the pyschological effect of woman's suffrage. The meeting will be held under the auspices of the Longstreet chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4c.2ADE/2121.1 Message Board Post: Sharon, District 38 was neither a militia district nor a land district in Hall County, so it was probably just an enumeration district for the census. It appears that all of Hall County was listed under the 38th District, so it doesn't help pinpoint any area of the county. If you give me the name of the people that you are researching in Hall County in 1850, I may be able to give you an idea of where they lived based on their neighbors. Dan

One of the Jenkins Families has a Fannie that is living now so possibly this could be your line. I will call her later today (after normal people have awaken) and talk with her about your names. The Gainesville Mill Cemetery is not the cemetery located on White Sulphur Road. These cemeteries are on opposite sides of Gainesville. If possible I will go by the cemetery and make a picture. It is only about 15 minutes from my home but my husband is ill and it is hard to made concrete plans. Hope this helps. Mary
