[This was also sent to the KING mailing list] I am trying to find the parents of William C King born May 1816 in Georgia, died between 1900-1910 probably in Habersham Co GA, but may have died in White Co GA Ca 1842 he married a Nancy A (unknown Maiden name) (listed as 22 on 1850 census) A bit young but that's what it says. They had 5 children: Wiley F (ca 1843); Willis L (ca 1844); Lewis C (ca 1848); Mary Jane (ca 1850); William B (ca 1852). Nancy A. dies after her last child. William C King marries a woman named Martha Jane  about 1854. They have 6 children: Cary C (ca 1855); Elizabeth (ca 1857); John Berry (1859); George W (ca 1869); Martha V (ca 1866); Dovie (ca 1872). William C King and Nancy A are on the 1850 Habersham Co, GA census. William and Martha Jane are on the 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900 census for Habersham Co, GA Martha Jane is on the 1910 census for White Co, Ga living as a widow with her son John Berry King and his family. William states on the 1880, and 1900 census that he was born in Georgia, and that both parents were born in North Carolina. If anyone recognizes this person please contact me.
