Blackburn married Adeline Jones 11/2/1851 in Habersham County, GA. Lillian Henderson listed in her compilation of Confederate Soldiers of Georgia, one M.S. Blackburn on the muster roll of Company E, 16th Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Habersham County. Milton is the only Blackburn in my list (which is small....approximately 83 names) which might have be this particular soldier. The marriage date would be appropriate for the parents of the M.S. Blackburn that you are researching; however, I have no other information.
