Greenville, South Carolina Hughie 'Rod Burner' Ivester Greenville Hughie "Rod Burner" Ivester of 306 Brentwood Circle died July 31, 2004, at his home. Born in Habersham County, Ga., he was the husband of Ellen Reeves Ivester; son of the late Benjamin Parker and Pernell Ivester. He was employed by Greenwood Inc. as a welder, and he was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Angie Arms of Greer; two sons, Michael and Kevin Ivester, both of Greenville; four grandchildren, Alisha and Brooke Arms, William and Jesse Ivester; three step-grandchildren, Sonia and Billy Johnson, Jesse Dean Ballard; three sisters, Melba Sisk, Joyce Moser and Audrey Moore; two nieces and six nephews. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with burial in Graceland East Memorial Park. The family is at the residence.
