I correct myself. I shouldn't have said they WERE sisters. I was at the library this morning and found some interesting info on property in Habersham County. On every Hab Co census beginning in 1840, Margaret & Hannah are living in the same district of Habersham County. In 1851, Hannah was granted acreage on the Middle Broad River and in November of that year Vincent Henderson was granted acreage on the waters of the North Broad River. Today this property would be within 10-15 miles of each other. I don't know if we will ever know if they were indeed sisters but there's some connection somewhere. Margaret bore J.B. Thomas out of wedlock in 1830 and married Vincent Henderson in 1834 in Habersham County. I find it hard to believe that she was not living in the household of an older relative when he was born. I suppose we'll never know unless we can uncover a will that names both Margaret and Hannah as heirs. Will keep you posted on my findings.
