    3. Deer Court, GA was between Toccoa and the Tugaloo River, now in Stephens County formed in 1905. Prior to 1905 it was in Habersham County. The railroad between Atlanta, GA and Washington, DC runs through Toccoa, Stephens County, Georgia. Deer Court was once on the old tracks before the tracks were re-located about 1920. Deer Court had a railroad depot and the train stopped for passengers. I can remember the old depot building but it has been torn down sometime in the last thirty years. Oconee County, SC is just across the river from Stephens County, GA. We are in the extreme northeast corner of the state of Georgia.
