I would assume this is John W. Parker and his first wife. However, I've not been able to find out anything else about Mary. There are only three records found for any of the various spelling variations of "Sheredan" in the 1850 Habersham Census and none could be Mary. There is an "M. Shirdin" living in neighboring Hall County in 1850; a female of the correct age. Her father's name appears to be "Abner", but the writting is pretty bad. He is listed as a 30 year-old farmer, born in South Carolina. His wife's place of birth is "unknown". All of the children (4 girls, of which "M." is the oldest), are listed as having been born in Georgia. Does anyone know anything more about these folks? Is this John Parker the same John W. Parker whom later married Palona Goode? Any additional information would be very helpful.
