To those who are interested in the wonderful lady known as Ms. Gowder: Ms. Gowder has two lovely daughters and their families. Maybe they can give you her ancestors, since I know she was a member of organizations that required such research. One of the daughters lives in Toccoa, GA., I believe. I went to school with them when we were children. I don't have a copy of the newspaper or the obit. Please write to Northeast Georgia (newspaper) in Cornelia, Georgia, 30531, IF no one can furnish you a copy and possibly they can send you each a copy. Ms. Gowder was a historian and helped to write the History of the Early Schools in Habersham County, GA. She had a nice write-up in the newspaper. One might possible get a letter to the daughters by writing to Ms. Gowder, Hwy 197, Clarkesville, Georgia, 30523. This is not her exact address. I do not know her 911 mailing address.
