Plat of 83 Acres surveyed by Benjamin Hagewood on 11 February 1841, under headright warrant dated 13 July 1840 for 500 acres, on waters of Wards Creek of Tugalo Run, adjoining John Collins, Ezekial Hames. John Collins, Thomas Collier, Chain Carriers. Superior Court of Habersham Co., GA Book A, 1819-1821 77. Grand Jury returned no bill against Bryant Ward and Willis Gilley charged with robbing Parting Haygood from Millhouse, of (unreadable section, left blank in book ________). John Kinkle one bushel of corn of the value of $1. Witnesses: Partin Haygood and Moses Pearsen. 79. Grand Jury of Neely Dobson, Stephen Poe, Caleb Griffith, Stephen Russell, George Devers, Charles England, David Garvin, John Elston, Ebenezer Fain, Benjamin Cleveland, Benjamin Chastain, Henny Davis, Sherwood Holcombe, William Hamilton, John Davis, Jeremiah Cleveland, Starritt Dobson, Benjamin Goss, James Hudgins, Henry Holcombe and Absolom Holcombe, returned a true bill against Bryant Ward for Assault and Battery on William Hagood. Plea of Guilty by defendant and sent to pay fine of $5.00. August Term 1820.
