On the 1880 census in the Mt. Airy district there is a Wm. D. Lambert--actually it has been transcribed as Fambert--Eliza (wife) and step-son Charlton Harkins. Isn't it the 1880 census that gives place of birth of the father? If so, could some one tell me where Wm. D. Lambert's father was born? Also, in the Clarkesville district, there is a Samuel R. Lambert and a Catherine Lambert, where were their father born? I have tried to read this on the census nearby, but it is so poor in quality I cannot decipher it. Any help appreciated.
