Hi Good to hear from you and happy for you that you are going to Ga. I am in northwest SC. Batesville,Habersham co.Ga. has a" general store",which has been made into a small restaurant . The Providence Baptist church and cem.is almost directly accross from the store.There are a few houses most are rural home.This is a rural area. There is a small store on the hwy going toward Laprades.Be sure to go to Laprades and check out the old picture behind the desk in the office of the gift shop.Does anyone know who is in the picture? You may want to call/visit Ed Stamey and Ellene Gowder for any information on Shelton Fields.Also try to contact the local genealogy group and call the Clarkesville library(about 15 miles from Batesville) to see if they have information on the Sheltons. Maybe someone can give you information on the hunting lodge near Shelton Fields. later Gay
