Surnames: Thomas Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3c.2ADE/8.19 Message Board Post: I found a posting in the archives of rootsweb name board for Thomas that says that Hanna's son is Joseph Thomas b. April 15, 1818. Joseph is my great great grandfather who married Rachel Susan Adams Oct. 5, 1842 in Habersham Cty., Ga. I have seen a cencus that shows them living next door to each other but in another cencus it states that both of Joseph's parents were from S.C. and he was from N.C. Could this be true? His brother according to the post is James W. M. Thomas (I believe the W.M. to stand for William Marion just like my great grandfather.) I cannot find evidence to support this calim.
