Unfortunately, I have no solid evidence that Charles is the father of Olive. Any information I have about Charles is what I could gather from Wheeler Mailing Lists on Rootsweb. I have only found 2 researches mention Charles as being a son to Thomas Wheeler and Sarah Hill. Siblings being Hannah, Thomas B., Benjamin, George, Nancy, Sarah. originally from Warren Co. North Carolina. This Charles is in Elbert Co. Ga. in 1820, and Habersham in 1830 and 1840. The only recorded evidence I have that connects me to Charles is the Gion Miller Applications submitted by Charles' grandsons, and great grandsons, Ruths and Colliers, I have not been able to find any marriage record of Charles. Any info you might have would be appreciated. Brenda

I don't have a lot of info on the Wheelers - it has been reported that Charles Wheeler was the father of Olive who married William Hiram Love. They lived in Habersham County, GA. I would love to exchange info and possibly you can confirm that Charles is Olive's father. Ida

That Charles is my ancestor through his daughter Emily (Millie). I just started on my Wheeler line a short time ago, and would love to hear from you about this family. I have some information I will share if you are interested. I hope to hear from you. Thanks, Brenda Harris.

He was born arround 1785. Married to Frances "Frankie" Scales or Rumsey. Charles is still in Habersham in 1840 with only one 1 daughter left at home. Even though he had so many daughters, I can't find any females credited to Charles as their father, with one exception: Next door to him in 1840, is W H Love, who married Olive Wheeler. I think she may be a daughter. My ancester Millie Wheeler is his daughter, she married Hopkins D. Ruth and lived in South Carolina in 1840 and back in Habersham in 1850. Anyone else have possibly a daughter of Charles in their ancestry? Other families in my tree are Collier, Ruth, Crumley, Ivester. Would like to hear from others who can identify with any of these. Thanks, Brenda Harris

In 1789 a son of the old Revolutionary Colonel, moved to Georgia and settled in Habersham County, and Gen. William T. Wofford was born in that county about 1820. Maybe this will help some. My George Deal is about sixty years older than your George Deal but he had a son named Henry Deal who was born about 1844. It seems likely that your George Deal is the grandson of the George born about 1805. Henry's older brother Daniel is my ancestor. I would be interested in knowing more about Henry's family since the only information I have is on Daniel.
