    3. William Herrin and Sarah Patterson of Habersham, had a daughter named Eliza Jane Herrin, born about 1834. I believe that Eliza Jane Herrin married John C. Gailey. I found what I think may be this family, in the 1880 census of Hall County, Ga. Can anyone help me confirm the following: John C. Gailey male 54 Farmer b. SC E.J. Gailey wife fem 45 b. SC I.A. He was killed during the Civil War because she was declared a War Widow in 1863. They had three daughters. The last daughter was born Oct 1861. Jesse was the son of John A Suggs Sr. They all lived in Habersham County, GA in 1850. Mary (Polly) Boyles was 14 yrs old in 1850. Thanks for any info on this family.

I have Jethrough being born in 1785 in S.C. and the census shows that he lived in Banks Co. however, I believe he and William to have been buried in Habersham County, maybe at Alto Cemetery across from the prison. Am wondering if a descendant of both Surry and Chris. was talking of their ancestor and the other person assumed the wrong one. I would be interested in your documentation regarding marriage.
