The concensus seems to be that Lurena was the daughter of Squire and Malissa Parker. Jordan Crocker and Lurena were married in Habersham County in 1858. He later fought and died in the Civil War, leaving Lurena with three children--Nancy Elizabeth, Jordan C. and James L. Crocker. Thanks very much to those who replied.

She was married to Jordan Crocker circa 1858. Lurena and Jordan are listed in the 1860 Census for Banks County with one daughter, Nancy E. Jordan was apparently a casulty of the Civil War. In 1870, Lurena is living with three children, Elizabeth (10), Jourdan C. (8) and James L. (6) next door to Malissa Parker and family. Lurena later received a pension as widow of Jordan Crocker. I would be very grateful if someone could point me to a marriage, family Bible or other record that included Lurena's maiden name.

I descend through John and Jane Clark from S.C. then to Habersham County Georgia 1850 Census. I then descend from their oldest child George W. Clark he is 26yrs. in 1850 census of Habersham. He married Malinda Tankersley, next I descend through their son John R. Clark. George and Malinda had a son Geroge W. Clark 16yrs. in 1880 census of Habersham County brother to my John R. Clark. Malinda Tankersley father and mother were Richard Tankersley and Elizabeth from South Carolina then to Ga. Habersham County. Malinda died early and George W. Clark is in the 1880 Habersham census with his children living next to Malinda's father Richard Tankersley's.
