Is this family related to Andrew Washington Rothell? Jane in 1900 said she was a widow with 7 children and 5 living. I have many questions. Thanks; JR

Attention Kay McCallister: It is strange that I found your grandfather, John Morris Herrin and wife, Effie Watson in my database. And yet I do not have a direct connection to this man that I have found. I have as their daughter Ora Lee Herrin born Dec. 29, 1914. She married Young Joe Martin on April 2, 1949 in Clayton, Georgia. Does this sound familar to you? Funny thing is that I have no parents for this John Morri Herrin, thus I can not as yet connect him with my direct line. Some of the Herrins and Morris surnames there in Pleasant Grove are my ancestors!!!! My line includes William M. Herrin and his wife Sarah "Sallie" Patterson. She is buried on Mud Creek Road, near the Hall County line. Their graves are on property privately owned by the Herrins. Also in Pleasant Gove are buried my great-grandmother Josephine Herrin Jackson b. 1871, she being the daughter of Wiley T. Herrin and Mary Emeline Young. Before that came Madison P. Herrin b. 1822 and wife Alefare MORRIS. I hve several generations more on these Morris/Herrin lines!!! Can you fill me in the parents of John Morris Herrin? Are these families somehow connected? I will get back to you on the Herrins that are in my line that have moved out to Texas. Have to look this up for you. I have no record of whom shared this info about your grandparents. Certainly do wish I had noted that, it must hve been some years back. I may have recorded it because of the Martin surname. Love to hear more from you, Judy V. (Rountree) Mason
Hello: I had a call this morning from a lady in Toccoa searching for Tricia Westbrook. They need her as there is an upcoming Family reunion this Saturday. There was a dedication for her Revolutionary ancestor (also a Westbrook) in Banks Co., Ga. in 2004. A Mr. Billy Westbrook's from Florida needs very much to get in touch with her. If you know Tricia or ....Tricia if you are on any of these mailing lists please contact me or get in touch with Dora Elrod at 706 886-3517. Thank you, Karen T. This is to a man in Martin, Ga. who has the directions to the Wood Cemetery: I am searching for a person who sometime ago gave me directions to a Wood Family Cemetery where J.J. Wood (James J.) and his wife are buried. I went to the cemetery at that time but now cannot find my directions. This gentleman that gave me the information and sent me pictures of the stones was from Martin, Ga. Please contact me if you have this information. People up today from Alabama searching for it as well. Thanks so much. This is not the J.J. Wood buried at Providence in Batesville, Ga. Karen T. Ledford/Toccoa, Ga.

There is also a Martha Savage, age 10, in the same house hold. I believe Martha to be my GGgrandmother. Could this be the Sarah that you are in search of? Martha married Joseph Ward and had 6 children. After the death of Joseph (bet 1890-1897), Martha moved with 4 of the children to Spartanburg county, SC and put everyone to work in the Arkwright cotton mill. I have no information on the parents of Martha or Sarah but I presume that they are sisters. Keith Ward
