I also have a Habersham/White Co. ancestor, James R. Dodd, who ended up in Indian Terr., OK and is also on the 1910 census. I later found out that he worked with the railroad so I suspect that is how he ended up in OK but I have not been able to confirm this yet. I called the public library in Ada, OK. They found data on James R. Dodd living in the Stonewall area in 1910 but in Indian Territority, Stonewall and Franks area, OK on the 1900 census. He is apparently buried at Frank's Cemetery in Pontotoc Co., OK (if this is my James R. Dodd). -----Original Message----- From: Michael A. I received this link on one of the lists I belong too. Please take this advice and read this story. Subject: Windows 95 & 98 Y2K Computer tip You may think your PC is "Y2K" compliant and some little tests may have actually affirmed that your hardware is compliant, but you'll be surprised that Windows may still crash unless you do the simple exercise below. Easy fix, but something Microsoft seems to have missed in certifying their software as Y2K compliant. This is simple to do, and VERY important. Click "START" Click on "SETTINGS" Double click on "CONTROL PANEL" Double click on "Regional settings icon (look for the little world globe) Click on the "Date" tab at the top of the page (last tab on the top right) Where it says "Short Date Sample" look and see if it shows a two digit year format: "YY" Unless you have previously changed it will be set incorrectly with just 2 Y's. It NEEDS to be 4 Y's. That's because Microsoft made the 2 digits setting the Default setting for Windows 95 and Windows 98. This date format selected is the date that Windows feeds ALL application software and will not rollover into the year 2000. It will roll over into the year "00" Click on the little arrow button in the window across from "Short Date Style" and select the option that shows "mm/DD/yyyy" or "m/d/yyyy". Be sure your selection has four Y's and not just mm/DD/yy. Then click "Apply" Then click "OK" at the bottom. Pass this info on to your PC buddies. No matter how much of a computer guru they think they are this might be a welcome bit of information! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

Oh Betty Jo!! How happy you have made us all!! This paints even a clearer picture of where they are buried. I was begining to doubt it myself as Tesnatee's old burial records had burned and they couldn't tell me where they were buried. Is it true that they are at the back of the cemetery as I have been told? I have been to this cemetery a couple of summers ago and easily found the ones closest to the road. I was told that they are marked with old field stones but nothing else and that Aunt Marthie, as my Pappy, Robert E. Thomas, calls her (he is still living in Plant City, Fl.) He knew her in the flesh and is of sound mind. He said that she was a cripple. I was told that all 3 are buried together and no headstones are there due to poverty at the time of their death. Yes, Joseph served and drew a pension. This is the first we have heard about a brother. Did they have a large family? He was in Co. C., 52nd Reg., of the Ga. Vol. Do you live near Tesnatee? Are you in Ga.? I want to plan a trip to Ga. this summer and see this cemetery again with new eyes. Will you draw a plat map and email on the computer or reg. mail? Can you take photos? We would like to get Joseph and Rachel headstones and Martha but couldn't since we didn't know where to place them. Your help is appreciated as I am in Texas and can't go anytime I'd like. We need to contact the Sons of the Confederacy of the Civil War chapter in Habersham, Ga., they will pay and place a special marker once we show them where it is. They usually will also identify wives, especially when buried next to the veteran. I am so excited, I am typing a million miles a minute!! Please email right away and thank you so much. I saw your last name as Trotter. That name is in my family tree data as well. Lucinda Thomas Schaefer [email protected]m wrote: > Hi > > Glad we are on the right track and it seems we are.
