Does anyone know this person or did anyone else receive this > same e-mail? Do NOT open attachments from anyone you do not know. It is a good idea to refrain from opening attachments from people you DO know, if you are not expecting a file from them. It is a good idea, when sending attachments, to send a preliminary email warning the recipient of a file to follow. The email you received is probably a virus. The format of the sender's address (with a leading _) has been widely discussed. The sender probably does not know she is infected, and certainly does not know that she is sending out contaminated messages. (although she may now <g>). Please, everyone -- do NOT open attachments unless you are expecting them. In any event - NEVER open a file which has a suffix of .exe, .bat. .pif or one which has two extensions (like Myfile.doc.exe). Looking for info on Mack C. Fagan (Phagan) supposedly son of: James and Nancy Fagan. James b. 1898, S C. m. Nancy: Children: Emma Sophia m. Caleb Baker Mack C. m. Partheney Alfred B. C. Clementine Wilmot m Elizabeth Lawrence, Wilmot was killed by Nelms in 1881, he went to prison.Elizabeth and kids, Nora, Ellis and Nancy went west to Arkansas. Wilborn m. Sarah Jordon, kids were James C, Mary E. and Sara A. Litleton M. m. Jane, children were Joseph, Tatum and Alisha A. Artimissa Tatum W. (William?) Nancy E. James had a brother, Philip or may have been Moses. Their father was either Philip or Moses. Can;t get them straight. Can anyone help? If Philip was the father, James and MOses were the sons, which seem right to me. They were from around the Abbeville, S. C. area . Philip behind a wife, I think, Ann, sons, Moses and Philip and daughters, Martha, Lydia and Rebecah. They wound up in Habersham/Banks County They were Baptists and belonged to the Camp Creek and Harmony Baptist Church. Nancy and James are buried there at Harmony Cemetery. My question, Does anyone know if my ggrandfather Mack C. Fagan fits into this group. My father was Claud Vanderbilt Fagan and his father was General Alvin Fagan who married Harriett Eliza Bowen in White County

I recently saw in Tyrell Co. NC orphans for Peter Stancil dated 6-4-1740, Martha, John, Cathrigne, Samuel and Sarah - Guardian appointed John Stancil 6-4-1740. As William and John Jr has had sons named John, I wonder who your John belongs to.

There is a nice page of contact info for Habersham County at http://www.co.habersham.ga.us/html/directory/directory1.html I would think that your request was a tad too early for the County to be of much assistance. Perhaps an investigation into exactly what records are available elsewhere for 1812-1830 might be worth a look...The FHC has many court, civil, land, etc records microfilmed for Habersham County [Court records from 1819, deeds from 1818, marriages from 1824, ]. There are many published sources which might fill in where the FHC microfilms do not - the Kimzey and Lucas books, perhaps Davis. The Clarksville/Habersham County Library may do lookups, and have resources not otherwise available.
