    1. Stewart/Jones/Hughes - Habersham
    2. Looking for any information on Lacy Stewart born 1828. Killed in the Civil War at Chancellorville. Wife's name was Amanda M. (probably Jones). In the 1880 census, Amanda has remarried to ? Hughs. Her mother, Mary Jones, is shown in her household along with John Billup Stewart, age 20, Isaac Hughes, age 10, and Amanda Hughes, age 8. In the same census is a Dr. H. B. Trist, age 46 living in a nearby household. Family history says there is some connection and this is born out by the fact that the daughter of Amanda and Lacy Stewart was named Trist Ann. Lacy was the s/o of John Stewart and Catherine Whisenhunt - both born in South Carolina. Any information appreciated. Frances Ivester Simonian

    2. pioneerwoman
    3. Kaye: I carry the Ayers direct lines. Some of them married into the Guest and Ivester lines. You didn't give any info for your Bright family except for where they are buried. I am not a direct Guest descendant but they amrried into my Ayers lines and I have a lot of info. I have 1 Bright family with wife's death after 1880: James B. Bright (no parents or birth info) marr. Martha (Mattie) Guest b.3 Nov 1858 Franklin Co., GA. d.c.1926 Toccoa, Stephens Co., GA. They were married 7 Dec 1877 in Franklin Co., GA. No children listed for them. Martha (Mattie) Guest's parents were Morgan Guest b.c.1826 and Elizabeth Abigail Ayers b.3 Jul 1829. If this is part of your line I have plenty of Ayers and Guest data. The Ivester names I have are: Robert Ivester (no dates) marr. Susannah Jane Dodd. She was b.c.1842 Habersham Co., GA d.1921. No children listed yet. Susannah is the dau. of William Dodd, Sr. b.c.1815 NC d.? in Habersham Co., GA. William marr. Alley Alice Whitehead 14 Apr 1836 Habersham Co., GA. They had 9 children. My earliest direct Dodd in this line is James A. Dodd, Sr. B.c.1774 VA d. Habersham Co., GA marr. Susannan (Anna) McBee. Not in my line: Robert Linthicum Ivester (no dates or location). Wife is Ruth Ann Tolbert, daughter of Miles Gilbert Tolbert b.14 Jul 1899 d.1974 Hobart, OK. Miles marr. Mary Jane Hare b.21 Dec 1908 Oklahoma City, OK; they marr. 25 Jul 1933 Okalhoma City, OK and had 5 children. I am a Tolbert but this is not my line. I have the earliest as Isham Tolbert who marr. __Rawlings. The early lines cross back into the Henley/Hensley lines and the Hensley marr. into Ayers and others. These Tolberts sometimes referred to as the Tennessee Tolberts.
