Searching for information on: John Marion ROCKMORE (c.1835) married Elizabeth E. BOSS (1840-1909). Their son is James Elijah ROCKMORE (1862 - 1932), whom married Eliza Ann HARVEY (1864 - 1930) in 1879 in Gwinnett Co., GA. I haven't found any of these Rockmores in the 1870 or 1880 census but I do find Mrs. Elizabeth Rockmore in the 1890 Gwinnett County Tax Digest w/Land Lots (sub for 1890 lost census) in the Cain's District. Eliza Ann Harvey is the daughter of Ezekiel P. HARVEY (1813-1897) and Letty PRUITT Martin Harvey (1826-1891); they resided in Cains District. Eliza & James Rockmore's daughter, Ledia S. Rockmore (1884 - 1965) married James Abram "Jim" Boss (1878 - 1943) and they are in Gwinnett Co. With the exception of John Marion Rockmore, all the above Rockmores are buried in Bethabra Bapt Cemetery in Barrow Co., GA. James and Eliza's other surviving children are in Gwinnett County in later censuses. My questions: Where is John Marion ROCKMORE buried, since he is not buried in the family plot? Where did James & Eliza Rockmore live? Or is it possible they were just missed on the 1880 census? Where did the Rockmore family come from? 1 John Marion Rockmore . +Elizabeth E.
