Searching for information on Ephrain Mathews (as it is spelled in records). He may have been married to Sarah Ann MARTIN. He is listed as receiving part of an inheritance from my GG Grandfather's estate in land deed records. The only child I don't have married (and can't find) is Sarah Ann MARTIN, born in 1842. Hence, this Ephrain Mathews may be her husband as all the other male names listed are the husbands of William Martin's daughters (his son in laws). Sarah Ann Martin was born in Lumpkin County (now part of Dawson Co., I believe), GA to William and Lettie Martin of Barretts District. They moved in 1857 to Gwinnett Co., GA to the Cains District. In 1860 census of Gwinnett Co., Sarah is not listed as living at home. Two weeks after the census was enumerated, her father, William Martin, died in June 1860. I cannot find a marriage for Sarah Ann Martin in Lumpkin or Gwinnett County, nor can I find a tombstone for her. I can find nothing about Ephrain Mathews either. Any ideas? Thank you! Ellen Martin
