Historical Society: http://www.adsd.com/ghs/ Annette, Thanks for the reply. His Mother, married a year after he was born to a William Birdsong and moved to Alabama where he m and had 10 children. The whole group was very fertle people and many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was my husbands gfather and now we have ggchildren so the line goes on. I got started in this because of the mystery of this Bob, being sure I could find him, but I have no clue as to who he was or if he was. The story went that her brothers found he had a family already and ran him off, if true, On all of Arthur records no father was listed. I talked with Social Security and they say none was listed. the census for him shows no place his father was from. I have not found his death records. I cannot find the funeral home that buried him altho he died in 1950 or 51. Record not in front of me. Thanks for looking. Maxine
