Hi Judy: I mean no offense to those who use Family Tree for research. I have had a bad time with it. There are 2 researchers {not blood-line related to my folks} who have made an awful mess of my ancestor's "Lives." One person informed me that I have my grandparent's first & last names spelled incorrectly. She visited one of my web sites that I posted for USGenWeb Tombstone Transcription Project. The message at the bottom of my page offended her. My motto is :"Share your Ancestors. Don't sell them." She just happens to be writing a book about my people. I never knew the woman existed until I received her e-mail message. Another lady posted a "merry tangle" on Family Tree. "The descendants of AJ Grizzell." She is very unhappy with the old-fashioned way we spell our family name....GRIZZLE. It has many different spellings. The majority of my direct ancestors chose to spell it as I just wrote it. The poor "tree" has mothers married to sons, Lunsfords listed as Smith "unknown. Several children "aborted" before they each grew up & each had their 12 kids. My grandmother didn't die at birth. I'm living proof of that. I love this stuff! Genealogy is addictive. I hand -transcribe 1 cemetery every day. Not for money, but because I love our heritage and want to do what I can to preserve it for our children. I just bet I post this to everybody instead of "reply to Author." I live the live of Lucy. Regards, Rachal Leigh Ward Grizzle "Walker of Stones."
