Regarding: John McDade Rose Have you ever been in contact with Frances Cartwright out in Texas? She connects to John McDade through his daughter Lucinda. It has been several years since I had contact & Frances was an elderly lady. In 1830 census John was residing next door to his daugher Lucinda (McDade) Sexton. And in 1840 census John McDade (pensioner) was living in the household of Lucinda. The families resided in the Hog Mountain area. You may never find out exactly where John is buried, but I would suppose it would have been in one of the cemeteries where some of the relatives are like Prospect Methodist. Maybe you can find old membership rolls or church records & find Lucinda or one of his other children or even John listed. I find a John McDade listed as having a letter at Lawrenceville PO on list of July 1, 1840 I find mention of a James McDade Nov. 1827 obtainig letters of guardianship for John Dunlap & gave as security Catharine Dunlap. Since John was a Rev. Sol. granted a pension as Virginia militiamen do you have his papers? Some where I have Frances Cartwrights ancestor chart & her last home address if you are already not familiar with her. I did check Jackson Co., my records on Barrow (former areas of Gwinnett) & what I had for Forsyth Co., but I really think John was probably buried in Gwinnett....but might want to check right across in Hall Co also, but still think most of the families buried although unmarked at Prospect Meth. , some are at Bethabra & Rocky Springs & other cem's I'll keep looking....Good luck?
