    2. Maxine, With Arthur Roscoe Jarrells being born in 1882 did he live long enough to be on the files with a death certificate? Possibly someone knew & listed a father? Did Martha marry 1883 to Wm. Birdsong? There just isn't any Jarrell's in this area. Only find two in the Death book. Unless Martha had went the legal route to get the father to recognize his son as his, don't see any course but to note info from Bible & leave it at that. Happened back then as it does now a days. Saw William & Elizabeth's marriage in 1858 & saw them in the census in 1860. Where are they in 1870? Have you check 1880 census to see if any Jarrell's in area? Cross those two l's & you'd have Jarrett that name would be easier. Just a little humor.
