Private Private Trying to sort out my John H. BAILEY from Gwinnett County, GA from these other two J. H. Bailey's that also served in the Civil War from Georgia. I found this information online with no other details. Where else can I search for more information with details? I am trying to find John H. Bailey (c. 1842) from Gwinnett Co., GA who married on April 9, 1861 to Martha Jane MARTIN (1846-1908), also from Gwinnett Co., GA. By 1870 Martha Jane MARTIN Bailey is back living with her parents and remarries in 1872. I believe her husband may have died in the Civil War. I can't find him buried in Gwinnett or Barrow Counties. Thank you. Ellen Martin
Trying to find someone who will search the 1890 and 1900 Georgia census for Lelia Elizabeth Mabry born September 17, 1887 in Buford, GA. I am trying to find out the names of her parents. I believe she is a descendant of Francis Mabry who was born in England in 1650, but can't make a connection until I find out who her parent's were. Lelia would have been about 7 years old in the 1890 census and 17 in the 1900 census. She married Russell Anderson Cain (also of Georgia) date unknown. Thanks, Mike Shaffer in Kentucky.

I have notes made on some Gwinnett Co, GA ancestors and need some help. In "History of Gwinnett Co, GA" Vol. II by J.C. Flanigan, he lists cemeteries by a code. I failed to note for which cemetery the code stands (i.e. SBS?, HCP (Haynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery), etc. Can anyone enlighten me as to this code? Much thanks for any help. I am trying to help start research for a friend and need to find out if anyone has researched the Jordan Family of Gwinnett County. Starting with: HERMAN A JORDAN (married Madeline Fowler) SSN 257-46-2968 Residence: 30247 Born 6 Dec 1931 Last Benefit: Died 21 Jan 1988 Issued: GA (Before 1951) Herman's parents were Carl and Della Jordan of Gloster (Lilburn/Lawrenceville/Hwy 29 area). Carl had a sister named Annie (I think). Do you have any background on this line or can you point me in a direction as I know nothing of this family history. Possibly someone is already researching? Your help would certainly be appreciated as this is a "gift" to a friend to help her get going on this. Thank you, Teresa demoyon@aol.com

I am anxious to contact any descendants of Epp Morris STONECYPHER of Suwanee, Georgia. Mr. Stonecypher died in September, 1950 at the age of 91 years. Mr. Stonecypher may have worked for the County or may have lived on land that once belonged to the Benjamin PRUITT family. He gave something to my grandmother McGINNIS that I am anxious to share with others. Thank you, Gloria Ramsaur
I am anxious to contact any descendants of a Mr. A. H. BRAZIEL, who resided in Suwanee, Georgia RFD, probably in the 1930s. Mr. Braziel evidently once had knowledge of the location of a small family plot of graves (three) on land belonging to Benjamin PRUITT. The graves were never marked and the burials would have been around 1845. Thank you, Gloria Ramsaur
I am anxious to contact any descendants of Mrs. Eunice Strickland BAXTER of Suwanee, Georgia. Mrs. Baxter died in March of 1940 at age 90, and was helping my grandmother McGinnis indentify our ancestral properties along McGinnis Ferry Road. She nay have been living on land that once belonged to James McGINNIS, Senior, a pioneer to Gwinnett County. Thank you, Gloria Ramsaur

I finally found my grandfather in the 1910 Federal Census. He lived on a farm, owned by his father. The farm was located in the Rocky Creek district of Gwinnett. Enumeration District 65. Does anyone happen to know where this district was located? There are no addresses listed for farms, so is there any way to determine where I would find this farm if I were to go looking for it? Also, can anyone tell me about "Farm Schedule"s. They are listed as being 141 on the Farm Schedule. Are those schedules accessible? Thanks, Terry Moore
