Can anyone tell me which cemetery this might be? A very nice up to date cemetery in Lawrenceville Ga. on Hwy. 29  between Lilburn and Lawrenceville. I am looking for my great aunts who are supposed to be buried there. Thelma Hooker, Anna Mae Bain, Ada Irene Schmager, Bessie Hufflenn, Ophia Rogers, she died in Feb. or March of this year. Sweetwater Primitive Baptist Church was organized on December 8, 1824, in the Wells School house bt Tyre Landers, and G. B. Waldrop. The following were charter members: Frances Landers, Vlarissa Woodruff, Sara Morgan, Elizabeth Niblet, Precilla Woodruff, Mary Hedrick, Hannah Spradlin,Hezaih Lawrence , Sara Schamblee, Margaret Minchem, Cynthy Barnett, Editha Mc McDaniel, Elly Dacis, Nancy Hendrix, John Hendris, Elizabeth Doneyhoo, James Donhook Thomas Mason, Prodence Well. James Wells, Bodie Waldrop. Benjamom Waldrop, Alsey Waldrop, The first building was erected in 1824 and replaced in 1909. The first minister of the Church was James Hale, who served 16 years consecutively, and an additional 12 years later. Located on Pleasant Hill Road between Duluth and Lawrenceville, near the corner of Cruse Road, the Church today is used as Sweetwater Memorial Chapel. The Cemetery is relatively well maintained, and several graves are decorated with small confederate Flags. I have a picture of the probably 1909 Sweetwater Primitive Church. also a Cemetery with the home of Eli Landers in the background. I didn't see the Higgingbothams or Eavenson families with the Waldrop in Gwinnette County, Georgia or at least not mention. Sandra

Here is my daughter's web page "Gone and almost forgotten Georgia." She is branching out to surrounding Counties. If you know of any history or whatever is interesting about your County or any County in Georgia she will post the story and pictures or she and I will try our best to go to that County and take pictures. That is how we ended up in Jonesboro. She has posted some beautiful pictures of Jonesboro and the Cemetery, you might want to see. Jan started out with Muscogee County and has gone into Harris, Troup, Talbot, Cowetta, and others, along with going across the river into Phenix City, Al, Russell and Lee Counties. She has pictures and stories of things that have gone and almost forgotten. She brings back a lot of memories for people who are researching their past. No matter how small the story, it may be just what someone is looking for. Less that several months, she has received over six thousand visitors. She would love to cover as many counties in Georgia as possible. My hearts desire was to find a picture of an "Out House". to show my grandchildren was a Out House looked like. I found the most beautiful Out House sitting in the back yard of the Stately Oak Home. You wouldn't think of a Out House as being beautiful, check out Jan's site. I am sending her today a copy of the beautiful Out House in the beautiful surroundings of the Home in Jonesboro. She investigates, Civil War, Old Homes, Churches, Railroad Stations, Murders, hangings, old signs, Cemeteries and many other stories.
