Surnames: phillips Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ic.2ADI/1219 Message Board Post: would appreciate info relating to william phillips who seems to appear in greene co. 1785 and had previously had land in wilkes and washington which became greene. william appears listed as husband of rhody white listed in john white's will 11-21-1801. he is also listed as having brother by the name of george. in 1790 listed as william phillips and wife nelley of greene co whose land in washington co was annexed......... can anyone give me a lead as to who this william phillips was. i believe he came from virginia but need some assistance. i do not have access to The History of Greene Co or i would be able to get some vital info. thanks to anyone who can assist me. sue walton
