Eleanor: Yes, our lines meet back around 1800. I have never met any of the Channells from Greene Co., although I have corresponded with some of them. Gus is a brother to the father of "Mickey" Channell, the state representative (unless there is another "Gus". I have a lot of Channell information. I hope to go to Greensboro this year and do some more research. I would appreciate any information on the Heards. They actually come in on my mother's side. Amelia Heard m. John Bell; their daughter, Charlotte Bell, m. Jesse Hughes. This family moved to Tuscaloosa, AL about the same time as my Channell family (1840-1845). I hope to attend the Hughes reunion in Tuscaloosa in a few weeks.
