My records date back to the 1940's that my aunt compiled. (My grandfathers sister) Anyway, the first page has to do with William Greene. At the end, she has a note of this. "I got my information from Mr. Johnnie Alston, our cousin, who lives in Magnolia, Al, who has a 554 page volume of the Alston History. I am wondering if you have this book, as I would love to see it. Very old book going back so far. I am sure someone in our family has it now, but do not know who. According to her records, Mrs. Alston was our great (Not sure how many greats) grandmother.
