He was one of the appraisers for Benjamin Holland's estate. He is not listed on the 1840 census. I think he is the father of My McClendon/McLendon line. I believe Thomas McClendon's children was Elizabeth, Joel W. and John A. McClendon and possibily others. Elizabeth McLendon married Robert Etheridge December 1838 in the ajoining county of Stewart. Joel W. and John A. McLendon was lising with Elizabeth and Robert Etheridage on the 1840 Stewart County Census. Robert Etheridge's parents were Arron Etheridge and Nancy Anderson. Nancy had a brother named Henry Anderson. (See the Stewart County, Ga Census). Is it possible that Nancy was the older sister to Sarah Anderson? The Thomas McLendon born in 1793 could not be the same Thomas McLendon on the 1800 Green Couny Tax Digests. They were taxed when they reached the age of 21 years old.
