    3. Hi, From a look at the names you list, this sounds like your John Holmes MILNER was a son of Benjamin MILNER (1772-1828) and Penelope HOLMES. Benjamin was a son of John MILNER and Elizabeth GODWIN of Oglethorpe County, GA. I think the Reverend MILNER you are talking about was John, Jr. who married Elizabeth CALLAWAY and this John, Jr was a younger brother of Benjamin.. I do not think John, Jr. was the father of this John Holmes MILNER since John, Jr was not born until 1775 and Elizabeth until 1779, so they were both too young to be the parents of your John born 1792. My guess is - Benjamin and Penelope were his parents. Notice the Penelope in your John's family. I also do not have any more information on them...... John R.
