Dear Rhoda Many thanks for the abstract. I need to see if I can look at the original at some point because Guardian could easily be a mistake and it would be Garden. There is a marriage bond in Charlotte County Virginia for Benjamin Baldwin of Prince Edward and Sarah Garden daughter of James Garden in 1785. So it would fit. Many thanks Mary Paul
