I have tried the Census in the 1820 census there is a Samuel that has a son that could fit the age of my John. The records I have tells me he died in 1828 so he would not be on the 1830 census. His wife remarried Thomas May and they are on the 1830 census. After the 1830 census they moved to Floyd co. and I have found them in the census records their. I have hit a brick wall on both John McClain and his wife Mary Williams who were Married in Greene Co. GA.
