He won a lucky draw for land in Dooly Co., GA. In the 1827 Statewide GA Land Lottery, a SUSANNAH HAMMONS, W. R.S. was residing in Greene Co., Bruce's Dist. She won land in Muscogee Co. Do SUSANNAH and WILLIAM connect to each other? Does anyone know to which HAMMOND/HAMMONS/HAMMONDS lines they belong? My ggg.grandfather was WILLIAM W.HAMMOND/HAMMONS He was b: 1803/04 in Oglethorpe Co., GA. I'm wondering if he is related to the WILLIAM HAMMOND who was in Greene Co. My William is connected with CHARLES "CHARLIE" HAMMONS/HAMMOND who was b: Abt. 1775 and d: 1833/34 in Oglethorpe Co., GA. There were 2 WILLIAM HAMMOND/HAMMONS names listed on the 1821 GA Land Lottery. One was living in Greene Co. and the other was living in Oglethorpe Co.
