You may also be hearing from some other members of our little REYNOLDS group who subscribe to the Greene County, Georgia, e-mail list. It has taken me almost 40 years to crack this stone wall family and to get Featherstone Cross and the Reynolds line together. I did it with two contacts from this list. They had a James Reynolds involved in records on their family, but had no idea how he was related. But, all the information fit into my lines. How far down the line are you on your Cross Research and were you previously aware of the REYNOLDS connection? Featherstone Cross married Betsey Reynolds, daughter of James Reynolds Sr. in Lunenburg County, Virginia. They moved to Edgefield District, South Carolina, where Featherston Cross died. Then apparently his wife and small child/ren moved over to Georgia with the rest of the Malones and James Reynolds. James Reynolds/Runnels d. 1822 with a will in Greene County, Georgia. He first settled in Oglethorpe County, but was cut into Greene County about 1799. Two of his other daughters married Durhams. The Durhams and Reynolds cousins married each other back and forth like crazy. It has only been since last May when I finally got started putting them all into a genealogy program that I was able to keep them straight. My mother was a Durham from Greene County and she grew up near Woodville where all of these people settled. We lived there briefly as a child and visited back there often. There is to be a Durham Reunion of my side of the family in Greene on Sunday, June 9, 2002. The first one in about ten years. So I have to get all of my data entered and printed out by that time. So if you want to be in the book, please send me your data on paper. NO ATTACHMENTS! I GOT A WORM LAST SUMMER! What a mess! Although I can cut and paste from regular e-mail into my genealogy program. Books will be ten cents a page on acid free paper printed by a genealogy program. Charge is for printing and binding. No charge for information. At the present time pages are approaching 200.
