Geri, I have a Wood/s in Jackson Co area after 1800. Pendlton Dist SC 1800. Also the Wood/s that I seek I believe to be Anti-Baptist. It is a far reach to connect YET. However I've wondered what brought them into this area. Your Elizabeth maybe a connection but I have no proof. You'd have to work it out. The Edgecomb Co Wood's are there but they are the ones that come into the country.Their are some in Anson Co NC. I had a hard time following but was able to do it thru the Wake Forrest Univ Baptist collection and the Baptist records. NC archives has Pendelton Dist records and then GA had early land records and I was able to follow into GA. Then back into Rutherford Co NC for 1812. From there into TEXAS. One of the first in Texas, land records to prove. Now if your Elizabeth is a sister to my Joseph Wood, the age is right. and I'm not so sure Peek isn't there in Texas. Hope we have a chance to connect. Joseph was b ca 1775 NC and I figure Anson Co NC for William is there and Frame Wood. White Store in Anson Co NC. The reason why I wrote you is because it is far and I got the idea you were willling to work. Happing Hunting Walta Michigan
There were Woods in Greene Co., GA/Oconee Co., GA. One Wood married a Burger and another a Pugh (out of Greene Co., GA) ended up in Oconee Co and Clarke Co., GA. In fact at one time the house was in both counties. If you need anything I have yell.
