Wanted to share this with the Greene County researchers.... Bettie Wood is the person in charge of the Family Group Sheet for all of the GA counties....they're a special section of the GAGenWeb Archives. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/bios/groupindx.html this is the url for the main page..... Additionally I have had a couple of notes to me personally saying they have connected with some new cousins due to this posting. My philosophy is the more places you post....the better the chance of being found. Also while you're looking for things that are on-line for Greene County...don't forget the GAGenWeb Greene County Archives page http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/greene.htm Ken Johnson is the file manager for Greene County and does the actual work of loading data on-line. He's had to subdivide the page due to the amount of data stored there....so take a few minutes to explore what all is there. [email protected] And remember we still need yours!! http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/gasearch.htm Also we've added some search-specific Search Engines ..... Bible, Wills, Cemeteries, etc. So you can use them if you are only looking for a Bible Record for a surname, and want to bypass all the other things on-line. The Greene Co. archive page that Ken Johnson maintains is the sister page to Laura Schmidt's Greene County page.... http://www.rootsweb.com/~gagreene/ So bookmark all these for handy reference to Greene County. You don't want to miss anything!! ==========Bettie's note====== Hi all, I just wanted to give another "report" on the Family Group Sheet Project. Since so many folks have been sending me different formats, I have made a duplicate request on the index page to "NOT include LIVING PERSONS". This is what I practice on the web sites I maintain. I figured since the 1930 census was fixing to come out, I would only take info up to the year 1925. I've been trying to scan each FGS to make sure there's no later dates, & have not seen any yet. One other thing, I'd rather NOT add a snail mail address. Most folks that have been sending it too, will find that it has been removed from their "original" until I hear from them again to leave it there. I've missed a few, I know, & would appreciate folks telling me if they see one still there. We have 120 group sheets online, with a good 40 more pending! Will I eve see my hubby again????haha Bettie <>< Virginia Crilley GAGenWeb Archives, State Manager
