    3. John, The CARR family I'm researching is much earlier. Samuel CARR, no birth date or place, but my guess is he was born in the 1770s. His wife was Nancy (maiden name unknown), b. abt 1770-75 in NC. They were probably married before 1803 in NC. Their daughter, Elizabeth, b. 1805-1810 married Walter A. PARTEE in Greene Co., GA. Samuel CARR died some time before 1860 which is when is will was administrated. I don't have any other information on him. Darleen Miller

    3. I have some information on a LT. Samuel CARR born 1745 in Louisa County, VA. I have it that he died in the RW. Samuel had brothers, Overton, Garland and Dabney CARR. Dabney did not live very long and then Martha married John William BOLLING and they and their kids lived in Chesterfield County, VA. These CARR boys were the sons of John CARR (1706-1788) and Barbara OVERTON of Bear Castle, Louisa Co, VA. I see a lot of families in Greene and Morgan that seem to be connected to a lot of the families I also see in Thomas County, GA where some of my folks ended up. The CARLTONS are one of these and I think they came through Wilkes on the way to Greene and Morgan. I have lots of other collaterals in Greene County, GA - the COLEMANS, HUNTERS, SANFORDS, DANIELS, RALLS and probably the RANDALS. This bunch ties right into my RICHTER family of Morgan, through my grand uncle. However, I cannot connect my DANIEL bunch of Jefferson County, GA to this DANIEL family of Greene County, GA, yet both DANIEL families tie in at the same level, one to my grand uncle and the other to my grandfather. The WINGFIELDS, TERRELLS, PETTUS, CALLAWAYS and their collateral bunch are probably also in this little group, and if so, this points right back into the Cunningham-Daniel bunch of Greene County. This Cunningham-Daniel bunch of Greene County also has the right "moves" to tie into other parts of my family in MD and probably Augusta County, VA, as well as the PONDERS who also flowed down this same route from PA to GA. However, my best indication is my DANIEL and LANE bunch was from eastern NC, Johnston, Dobbs and Greene County, NC to be exact. However, there is some indication they to may flow back to MD, as well. Whatever, I feel pretty confident the BRYANS are in this equation, as well as the CASONS and CANNONS. John R.
