    2. Hi Friends, The August 2004 issue of GEORGIA SETTLERS, published by the East Georgia Genealogical Society (EGGS), Winder, GA, will be mailed out within a week or 10 days. On August 10, Ted Brooke, Georgia's foremost authority on cemeteries, will speak on the book, "Grave Intentions: A Comprehensive Guide to Preserving Historic Cemeteries in Georgia," by Christine Van Voorhies. This guide offers valuable advice such as how to plan cemetery cleanups, record and care for grave markers, and protect against threats. It also includes a review of Georgia cemetery laws and sources of further information.
