I'm responding to an old message of yours. You may already have your answers by now but if you are still looking for parents of James R. King, I can help some. He was the son of Ezekiel King and his first wife, Lorena McGee, who were married in Greene Co. 8 Dec. 1842. Lorena did not live long and Ezekiel remarried to Louisa Caroline Landrum, 21 July 1847 in Oglethorpe Co., GA. In the 1850 census, Ezekiel and his family were living in Greene Co., as follows: 1850 Census, Greene Co., GA District 162 Roll 71, page 114 Dwelling 641, Family 641 Ezekiel King, age 34, m, farmer, b. GA Caroline, age 25, f, b. GA JAMES R., age 7, m, b. GA John, age 5, m, b. GA Sarah, age 2, f, b. GA Crosby, age 10/12, m, b. GA By 1860 the family had moved to Harris Co., GA and James R. King is listed in that year by the name of Richard King, age 16. So I'm assuming his full name was James Richard King. I can provide you with further census records on Ezekiel and his family up through 1880 in Harris Co. Obviously James R. King left Harris Co. and moved back to Greene Co. sometime before 1870. As you know, he married Susan F. Wright, daughter of William Wright and Susan A. Mapp, 5 Nov. 1867. I am also interested in learning more about his son, your ancestor, Isaac D. King. I've found a bit of confusing information regarding his wife's name and wonder if you could help out some. Was he married more than once? I have found him living in Greene Co. in 1900 and 1910 and in Atlanta in 1920. In 1900 he has wife Katie, in 1910, her name is Virginia, then in 1920 she is Katie again (assuming I'm reading the handwriting correctly.) But was he the same Isaac D. King age 53, living in Athens, GA in 1930 with wife Susie T. age 57, son Russel King age 14, mother-in-law Irrovia Taylor age 78, and brother-in-law Everett P. Taylor age 59?
