Concerning Goodwin (Godwin) - I have a copy of the will of EDMON GODWIN, son of THOMAS GODWIN II who m. Mary Mills. This will is dated 1753 in Nansemond, VA. It is witnessed by Thomas and Arthur Channell and Thomas Wakefield. I was just wondering if this is the same GOODWIN (GODWIN) you have? My ggg grandfather, was THOMAS CHANNELL. He was in Greene/Hancock counties by 1800. His son, JOHN CHANNELL, was born 1797 in VA. I have been trying to link the CHANNELL and GODWIN families. If this is the same GODWIN then perhaps they came to GA about the same time. Thanks for any clues you might have.
