Rhoda, you are correct in your assumption about my grandfather, Isaac Daniel King. He was first married to Katie Virginia Mapp, who died around 1924 or 1925. (Sorry, I don't have my records close at hand right now to tell you the exact date.) Isaac several years later married Susie Taylor, and lived in Athens until his death in the early 1950s. I'll go through my records and send you the specifics when I relocate them. I don't think, however, that the James R. that shows up with Ezekiel in the 1850 census is the James R. I've been seeking, as his age in other records would indicate he was born in 1847 and should have only been 3 years old in 1850. I believe his middle name was probably Russell. But thanks for the info. I intend to get back to work on this during the coming winter, and will keep your suggestions in mind.
